№ 02 · Waterfall
Akaa Waterfall.
The connoisseur’s cascade. A shaded forest walk delivers you to a fall that most of Ghana hasn’t discovered yet — just water, birdsong and you.
Difficulty
Easy–moderate; 20–25 minute shaded forest walk each way.
Time Needed
2 – 3 hours including the walk and a swim.
Entrance
From GH₵15 (adult) — guide included.
Best For
Birdsong, calm and quiet mornings.
The experience
Where the forest keeps a secret
The walk is half the magic: twenty shaded minutes under giant emirs and silk-cotton trees, kingfishers flashing across the stream, until the trail opens onto Akaa’s curtain of white water.
- Guided forest walk — your guide reads the forest aloud: medicinal plants, birds, butterflies.
- Natural plunge pool — cool, clean and rarely shared with more than a handful of visitors.
- Photographer's light — soft, diffused canopy light all day long.
- Romantic picnics — ask about our couples' picnic add-on when you book.
