The experience
An adventure with a grand finale
The trail to Aprede is a journey through living Okere: cocoa and plantain farms, farmers who wave you through, then deepening forest until you hear the water before you see it.
- A real trek — 45 minutes each way with stream crossings and forest scrambles.
- Wild swimming — the pool below the falls is deep, cold and glorious.
- Farm-to-trail snacks — taste cocoa fruit and seasonal produce straight from the farms you pass.
- Small groups only — we cap visits to protect the site and keep it feeling wild.

If you can walk briskly for 45 minutes, you can do Aprede. The terrain is uneven with a few short scrambles — proper shoes make all the difference.
We recommend Aprede for ages 8 and up. Younger families usually prefer Asenema, which has the same magic with a five-minute walk.
Trainers or hiking shoes, water, insect repellent, swimwear and a dry bag for electronics.
